Job Description

The Senior Manager, Strategic Finance, will play a critical leadership role in driving high-impact financial reporting and analysis across LinkedIn’s LTS Field business. This individual will elevate business performance reporting, deliver insights from SaaS metrics, and work cross-functionally with the Growth and Performance team and other key stakeholders to identify and influence business drivers. The ideal candidate has a strong strategic mindset, excels at working with large datasets, understand complex finance models and possesses a deep understanding of the current performance metrics as well as SaaS business models and metrics like ARR (Annual Recurring Revenue), NRR (Net Revenue Retention), and CLTV (Customer Lifetime Value).

Responsibilities

  • Global and Regional Business Insights: Analyze, report, and lead a team in identifying trends in financial and operational metrics globally and regionally. Monitor for patterns, anomalies, risks, and opportunities that could influence business strategy.
  • Deep-Dive Analysis: Autonomously extract, manipulate, and synthesize large datasets, including SaaS metrics, to uncover critical business insights. Act as a thought leader in understanding business dynamics and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Strategic Variance Analysis: Conduct advanced variance analysis and deliver executive-level insights, trends, and narratives for CFO and leadership meetings. Establish frameworks to provide both quantitative and qualitative context to the underlying business performance.
  • Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Partner with Pricing, Regional Finance, Sales Operations (SOPS), and other stakeholders to align on metric reporting and business driver analyses. Ensure reporting accuracy and alignment with business strategies.
  • Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs): Lead the preparation and delivery of materials for QBRs, ensuring clear communication of financial analysis, variance explanations, and performance summaries. Proactively incorporate business specific insights to inform broader company strategies. QBR Process Optimization: Continuously enhance and standardize reporting templates and analytical frameworks in partnership with global and regional teams. Ensure the QBR process drives strategic discussions and decision-making for SaaS-oriented growth.
  • Strategic Guidance: Collaborate with senior leadership to interpret financial results in the context of performance metrics. Provide thought partnership on future business strategies by utilizing advanced data-pulling capabilities and sophisticated financial modeling to provide accurate, actionable insights.
  • Long-Term Planning Input: Work alongside the planning team to inform the long-range financial planning process with robust analysis of key growth metrics.
  • SaaS Metrics Integration: Lead the establishment of a centralized, trusted source for SaaS key performance indicators (KPIs), including ARR, NRR, customer churn, customer acquisition cost (CAC), and upsell/cross-sell performance. Develop and refine reporting at both global and regional levels for consistent, data-driven decision-making.
  • Data Integrity & Accuracy: Ensure all financial and operational data is validated, reconciled, and integrated into standardized reporting systems. Implement processes to guarantee accuracy, reliability, and scalability in reporting methodologies.
  • Efficiency and Consistency: Drive global standardization and streamlining reporting processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and transparency. Develop scalable dashboards and tools to facilitate timely and meaningful insights for senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Mentorship and Development: Serve as a mentor and subject matter expert on business metrics, financial reporting, and business performance analysis. Build capabilities within the team to elevate financial reporting across the business.
  • Strategic Influence: Advocate for data-driven decision-making at LinkedIn by providing leadership with SaaS-focused insights and identifying pivotal business drivers that contribute to sustained growth.


Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Business Analytics, Finance, or related field AND minimum 8 years of experience in finance, finance accounting, management consulting, investment banking, or related field OR equivalent experience.
  • Experience in SaaS metrics (ARR, NRR, CAC, CLTV, etc.), financial modeling, forecasting, and executive-level reporting.
  • Capabilities in analyzing large datasets using advanced tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau, or comparable BI tools) and leveraging insights for strategic business decisions.
  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams and influencing senior stakeholders in a global matrixed organization.
  • Track record of driving process improvements and scaling standardized reporting frameworks across regions and functions.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of people management experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in the technology industry.
  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related disciplines is highly desirable.
  • Hands-on experience with SaaS industry reporting frameworks and familiarity with subscription-based revenue models.
  • Demonstrated leadership in cross-regional and cross-functional collaboration, particularly in a high-growth or evolving organization.
  • Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, capable of connecting SaaS and operational metrics insights to broader organizational priorities.

LinkedIn is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.

The pay range for this role is $182,000-$242,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
