The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team.
We are looking for a Manager for our Hybrid Account Director, Academic & Government [A&G] team (Amsterdam). In this role, you will be responsible for building and managing a team of Hybrid Account Directors who partner with existing customers to deliver success using our Talent and Learning solutions. In addition, the Manager will be responsible for developing and executing the sales strategy to grow new customer acquisition. You will also focus on retaining and growing LinkedIn’s valuable corporate relationships.

In this role you would leading an established sales team focused on the Higher Education and Not for Profit vertical market spanning SMB to ENT size organisations.
The Role:
We are looking for an exceptional Sales Manager to lead our Academic & Non-Profit Hybrid Account Director sales team. You will be responsible for managing a group of experienced sellers focused on retaining and growing existing customer business and new business acquisition. Critical to the success of this role is building a high performing sales team culture, developing and executing a strategic plan for your territory while also achieving team sales quota and operating priorities. You will be partnering with your direct team, cross functional partners, clients, go to market partners and advising on strategic / value driven solutions.

- Effective communication through 1:1s, performance reviews, coaching, and manager updates
- Communicate goals and bring a focus on the most important activities
- Inspire customers to partner with LinkedIn
- Manage headcount, forecast, lead meetings, align the team to organizational vision and values
- Foster a positive and values-driven team culture that will motivate others
- Create a shared vision for the vertical segment
- Identify team challenges and lead training and education to improve rep effectiveness
- Be the trusted partner and advisor to leadership and provide them with competitive and industry intelligence to inform product and business strategies
- Be an effective coach to team members
- Work with leadership to inclusively recruit and develop world-class diverse sales professionals
- Create and deliver reliable sales forecasts and contribute with insights to complex account and financial planning
- Drive revenue through thoughtful execution of account strategies, relationship development, and sales excellence

- Represent the organization responsibly – internally and externally – and help deliver on our mission, vision, and culture
Basic Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in quota-carrying sales
- 2+ years of Sales People Leadership experience
- Fluency in English and Dutch
- Experience in territory planning and pipeline management
- Experience leading high performing sales teams
- Ability to influence decision makers at all levels
- Proven leadership skills, self-starter with hands-on approach
- Capability in forming enduring relationships across the organization and geographies
- Well-connected in their industry with the potential to also do so in the HR community
- Integrity-driven, collaborative team player
- Must be results driven and detail oriented with a growth mindset
- Experience in sales coaching
- Experience leading a team of sales leaders in consistently meeting and exceeding revenue goals
- Experience of subscription-based business sales models [SaaS]
