The Sales Manager will inspire, mentor and coach their team to excel in their core role, with their clients, as a team and for impact on their market, while delivering on segment business priorities. High operational excellence and focus on team development are essential. You will create impact outside of your core function by demonstrating excellence in leadership, providing leverage across cross-functional teams and stakeholders, and producing results to help us scale effectively.
In this role you will be responsible for overseeing a team of Account Executives who are responsible for consulting with advertisers who are viewed as high potential accounts across multiple verticals and to engage them for their long-term success with LinkedIn’s full-funnel Marketing Solutions product suite. You will input, develop and execute on a sales strategy, go-to-market, enabling your sales team to drive short-long-term success with their clients at scale. You will work alongside sales leadership to focus on overall business priorities, initiatives and segment priorities.

- Hire, lead and inspire a team of Account Executives & Client Solutions Managers
- Invest in their career development, mentor/coach them to perform to high standards, require key competencies/skills levels and empower them to create impact for their clients and internally through regular team engagement
- Anticipate team hiring needs and regularly engage with top, passive talent to ensure hiring pipeline
- Provide data-driven, open, honest and constructive feedback when it comes to skill gaps and training, and execute effective performance management
- Ensure that your team have high operational excellence for business asks such as forecasting, measurement and skills training
- Ensure that your strategy is aligned with that of the broader team/ business and inspire your team to deliver against it
- Lead your team through the changes that are inherent in a fast-paced tech company
- Partner with other managers & stakeholders to develop and implement the business/segment strategy to ensure your market achieves their goals
- Where relevant, own and/or leverage key relationships with Sales Ops, Product, Insights, Marketing, Sales Readiness and other stakeholders to support and influence their cross-functional work for your team's success
- Provide regular business updates to management on team, business and customer performance and accurately forecast your revenue
- Lead your inputs with data driven insights and learnings
- Be an expert of the components and best practices of LinkedIn Products, LinkedIn workflows, systems and execution
- Inspire your team to bring to life the strategy/tactics for growing and supporting our managed customers while achieving your revenue targets and KPI’s
- Ensure your team thinks “client-first”, relying on metrics that matter: long-term revenue growth, customer value, and customer understanding of the LinkedIn platform
- Identify, implement and track the KPI’s to drive the focus of your team to deliver customer value and revenue growth
- Understand and be able to articulate the overall business objectives of LinkedIn and its value proposition to the advertising community
- Consistently lead by example through our LinkedIn values and culture, creating awareness for team members through collective interactions
- Build a culture of inclusion and belonging for your team and those around you
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years working in the Digital Media landscape, with domain knowledge of the digital media market, dynamics, customers & competitors
- 3+ years in sales team management & sales management experience, leading & managing a revenue generating team in a commercial environment in a sales or digital media environment
- Proficient knowledge of the digital media and customer landscape
- Ability to prioritise efforts, with a passion for driving excellence and results
- High awareness, knowledge and interest in digital advertising
- Thrives in fast-paced environment, and can embrace rapid change and innovation
- Change management skills and/or managing, training teams through change
- Ability to think strategically and align to tactical actions focused on set deliverables
- Ability and skills to inspire others and keep them accountable
- Proven awareness of optimal format of sales proposals, forecasts and account planning
