As a Financial Engineer, you will be in charge of operating Kiln’s financial systems, from meticulous data monitoring and insightful analysis to crafting comprehensive reports and innovating process automation solutions! You will report to our Head of Finance and collaborate with Sales and Engineering teams to ensure the continuous reliability of Kiln financial data, serving both internal stakeholders and our valued customers. As we navigate through hyper-competitive markets and rapidly evolving regulatory landscapes, your contribution will be key to our strategic growth and continued leadership in the industry!
Responsibilities:

Monitoring & analysis:
Monitor Proof-of-Stake protocols and blockchain networks to identify and analyze financial implications. Keep updated on market trends and regulatory changes to inform our strategies.

Data integration & management:
Integrate various data sources, including on-chain information, blockchain aggregators/explorers, and internal services, using APIs. Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency in Kiln’s databases.

Financial reporting:
Develop and deliver comprehensive financial reports tailored to the needs of Kiln, our partners and customers. Use data analysis to create custom reports that track Kiln's financial metrics (Revenue, Expenses, AUS, etc.) and provide valuable insights to our customers (Staking activity, Reward statements, etc.).

Innovation in automation:
Create new internal tools and automated solutions to enhance the efficiency of Kiln’s financial and operational processes, including billing, treasury management, and cryptocurrency transaction reconciliation.

Customer & leadership support:
Address customer inquiries related to invoicing and financial data. Work closely with the leadership team, providing finance insights to aid in risk mitigation and opportunity identification.
Stack:
Tech: Python, JS, SQL, API (REST, JSON).
Tools: Google Sheets, Excel, Postman, GitHub, Slack.
Requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics or Technology.
Experience with data analytics, relational database and SQL.
Proficient in Python scripting.
Ability to fetch data via API (REST, JSON).
Understanding of financial modeling, KPIs and reporting.
Proven interest in Blockchain and Cryptocurrency - knowledge of protocols, blockchain-explorers and smart-contracts is a plus !
French and English speaker (fluent).
Curiosity and ability to dig into a topic and follow through.
Genuine team spirit.
Nice-to-haves:
Experience working within a fast-paced startup or regulated environment like Bank/FinTech.
Knowledge of JavaScript.
Familiar with automation tools like Google Apps Script, web scraping.
