About Corintis
Corintis offers innovative microfluidic cooling technologies for AI chips/GPUs and CPUs used in data centres. Working with many of the world’s largest tech companies, our solutions improve compute sustainability and tackle the excessive electricity consumption associated with data centre cooling, which consumes more electricity than New York and London combined.
Ranked as the No.1 Engineering startup in Switzerland for 2025 & 2026, Corintis offers a friendly and team-oriented workplace, bringing together over 105 people from over 35 nationalities to solve the most significant computing challenges of tomorrow. Based in the EPFL Campus in St. Sulpice, we are closely connected to the local ecosystem and are located a few minutes walk from Lake Geneva.
The Role
As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for the definition, the power calculation and the layout of our high performance Thermal Test Vehicles (TTVs). You will report to the head of the Thermal Testing Team and collaborate closely with System & Package architects, Electronic Engineers, Quality and Mechanical Experts and other colleagues of the R&D teams. This role plays an important part in our goal to design & layout the best Thermal Test Vehicles for our customers dedicated to their needs and decrease the cycle time from concept, over layout to prototype and certification.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead the design of the Thermal Test Vehicles, by taking the required specification parameter worked out by our Hardware Architect and generate a realisation concept
· Route interposer, substrates and PCBs with state of the art layout tools and latest AI software and tool support
· Own the netlists and connectivity checks till final clean up of the layout by considering DFM methods
· Collaborate with manufacturing Silicon, Back End and PCB partner on target design rules and complexity
· Request quotes for materials and services and align with internal & external partner on the costs and time schedules
· Manage the TTV manufacturing and assembly with our partner by regular alignment meetings, so you stay always on top of the status
· Support electronic schematic designs of our Therminator and Kraken test platform
Requirements
· Electronic Engineer or similar education level
· 1-3 years of experience with state of the art design and layout tools like Cadence Allegro, Mentor Xpedition or similar tools
· Proven experience in electronic designs of microcontroller / FPGAs / programming by realizing complete designs from concept till validation
· Strong understanding of used materials in the Semiconductor Industry (Wafer, packages, modules)
· Experience with project management & risk assessments (TRA / FMEA) methodologies
· Good communication skill to interact with internal & external partner
· Fluent English
This Is a Great Fit If You:
· You love to design and layout electronic products and only stop the optimization if nothing left.
· Enjoy building products from scratch in a fast-paced, hands-on startup environment
· Work in a team approach, where the final product only will be successfully if everybody contributed to its best
· Thrive when you can work cross-functionally and support other colleagues and teams
· Value the benefit to work in a multi-national team environment
This Won’t Be the Right Role for You If:
· You prefer working fully remotely, as this role requires a close on-site collaboration in the Lausanne office.
· You are not comfortable with challenges and changes during the project phase and keeping the deadlines and delivery dates.
· You are looking on straight forward project execution, where fixed processes guide your development phase and solve the problems.
· You prefer highly structured, corporate environments with fixed processes.
