About Corintis

Corintis is a startup that is a provider of advanced semiconductor cooling technologies. Some of the biggest challenges of our lifetime, from climate modelling to drug discovery, constantly require more computing power. More powerful chips generate more heat; extracting this heat is a major challenge for our future.

Current cooling systems are not only limited but also wasteful; cooling data centers consume more power than London and New York combined. At Corintis, we remove these limitations by integrating cooling directly inside the chip. We enable the sustainable computing of the future to address the biggest global challenges.

Working at Corintis

Corintis offers a friendly and team-oriented workplace bringing together a diverse group of nationalities to solve the biggest computing challenges of tomorrow. Based on the EPFL campus near Lausanne, we are closely connected to the local ecosystem and are located a few minutes walk from Lake Geneva.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Full-Stack Software Engineer to help build and scale our simulation and optimization platform. You will work across the stack, UI, APIs, data pipelines, and deployment to deliver a product that bridges heavy HPC simulation with interactive engineering workflows.

You will contribute to the development of key platform capabilities, including:

  • Importing engineering files (ECXML, CSV, STEP)

  • Interactive model setup (materials, boundary conditions)

  • Design generation and benchmarking using Corintis's optimization engines

  • Real-time meshing feedback during pre-processing

  • High-fidelity 3D simulation execution for validation

  • ParaView-like post-processing: slicing, probing, isosurfaces, streamlines, cross-sections

  • Exporting designs to STEP/ECXML and manufacturing handoff flows

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain a modern, high-performance UI for simulation setup and results exploration (React-based).

  • Implement and evolve backend services that orchestrate simulation workflows, optimization runs, and job execution (local + cloud/HPC).

  • Integrate file import/export pipelines for ECXML/CSV/STEP, including validation, versioning, and error reporting.

  • Implement real-time progress and streaming updates to support interactive meshing previews and responsive post-processing.

  • Design and maintain data models for projects, configurations, designs, simulation results, and benchmarking metrics.

  • Build robust APIs to ensure reliable communication between UI, compute layers, and external services.

  • Improve developer velocity through strong testing, CI/CD, observability, and maintainable architecture.

  • Collaborate with computational engineers to turn numerical workflows into reliable software features.

Qualifications

  • Strong experience as a Full-Stack Software Engineer delivering production-grade applications.

  • Proficiency in:

    • Frontend: React, TypeScript/JavaScript, state management, component architecture

    • Backend: Rust, API design, WebSockets

  • Solid understanding of software engineering best practices: testing, CI/CD, code review, refactoring, documentation.

  • Comfortable working with data-heavy / compute-heavy systems (large files, long-running jobs, streaming status updates).

  • Experience with desktop and/or hybrid applications Tauri/Electron.

  • Experience with 3D visualization (vtk.js, three.js, WebGL/WebGPU) is a strong plus.

  • Familiarity with HPC workflows (job schedulers, containers, remote execution) is a plus.

  • Fluent in English, with strong communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

This is a great fit if you:

  • You move fast and enjoy shipping real product.

  • You are results oriented and pragmatic about trade-offs.

  • You enjoy building polished, interactive engineering tools.

  • You like working across UI, backend, and infrastructure to make systems reliable end-to-end.

  • You enjoy working in a tight group of developers and collaborating closely with domain experts.

This won’t be the right role for you if:

  • You only want to work on one layer of the stack.

  • You prefer working alone and avoiding cross-functional collaboration.

  • You are uncomfortable iterating quickly, refactoring often, and improving solutions based on real-world constraints.

  • You prefer research prototypes over production software quality.
