We are seeking a motivated Head of IT to join our team working on the next-generation AI hardware infrastructure.

About us:

Corintis is a provider of advanced semiconductor cooling technologies. Some of the biggest challenges of our lifetime, from climate modeling to drug discovery, require ever-increasing computing resources. As more specialized and powerful chips are being deployed in data centers all over the world, the efficient cooling of these large computing clusters has become a major economic and environmental concern The electricity consumption devoted to data center cooling in the near future is estimated to match the combined consumption of London and New York. Moreover, next-generation chip designs are expected to be limited by current cooling technologies.

At Corintis, we address these challenges by integrating cooling directly inside the silicon chip and through the use of our advanced cold plates. By doing so, we aim to enable the sustainable computing of the future and allow other innovators to work on the biggest global challenges. Today, we are working alongside some of the biggest names in the industry to enable the next generation of sustainable high-performance data centers.

About the opportunity:

The candidate will be directly involved in leading all aspects of IT Management at Corintis from company standard data management and cybersecurity to supporting our work on data center projects. This will involve working with some of the worlds largest companies on the most challenging problems relating to next generation AI compute infrastructure.

About the role:

  • Lead data management across the whole company including complex data management challenges relating to our hardware, software, and project management teams.
  • Day-to-day responsibility of MS365 company-wide work environment.
  • Ensuring we meet the recognized IT standard: ISO27001, NIST Framework
  • Configure servers in cluster configurations for use in benchmarking/stress testing/thermal benchmarking and running AI workloads.
  • Implement and maintain robust cybersecurity measures to protect the organization’s data and IT systems from threats. Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends and best practices, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure the organization’s operations can continue during and after a crisis.
  • Ensure that the organization’s IT operations comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. Identify and mitigate IT-related risks.
  • Configuring cloud computing workloads
  • IT Onboarding/offboarding

The role will report to the Co-Founder, COO, with the support of an external IT specialist.

The ideal profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in IT, ideally with prior experience working in a data center environment.
  • Proven experience in IT strategy development and implementation ideally at a “deep tech” startup with complex IT requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud computing, and software development.
  • Prior experience working with Nvidia/AMD GPU clusters and GPU network switches is a major plus.
  • Proficiency in using automation tools to manage and streamline data center operations.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell to automate routine tasks.
  • Previous experience with system monitoring tools and benchmarking software packages.
  • Experience building and managing databases like MySQL or SQL Server, including backup, recovery, and performance tuning.
  • Understanding low-level monitoring protocols (IPMI, Redfish)
  • Experience with Cuda and Rocm is a plus
  • IT project management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external US partners.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
  • Very good English communication skills (this role will heavily interact with US-based customers).
  • Proficiency in Linux/Unix system administration, including shell scripting, user management, and file system administration.
  • Experience in setting up and managing computational clusters, including hardware and software configuration.
  • Strong knowledge of network configuration, including IP addressing, DNS, routing, and firewalls
  • Familiarity with server hardware, storage systems, and network equipment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to document procedures, collaborate with team members and interact with users.
