Our solutions improve compute sustainability and tackle the excessive electricity consumption associated with data center cooling, which consumes more electricity than New York and London combined. With our software platform, Glacierware, our customers or us adapt microfluidic channels to the powermap of their chip, and we manufacture these into cold plate solutions or provide solutions to enable the customer to embed these cooling channels inside the package/the chip.

Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Operations Manager who will report to the COO during the company's rapid scaling to manage a wide range of operational aspects, including facilities while streamlining the internal operations of the company. The goal of this role is to be day-to-day execution-oriented and enable the COO to dedicate more time to the commercial & strategic development of the business.
Responsibilities:
• As a senior hands-on individual contributor, be the COO's right hand to support him across a broad range of operational topics.
• Manage our office and laboratory facilities with total investments in the millions of CHF, including both office space and R&D laboratory facilities. As well as managing external host facilities e.g. external data center facilities, with the support of the Head of IT.
• Standarised shipping and logistics paperwork for samples and customer orders with shipping brokers.
• Work with the Head of IT to ensure clean data management across the entire company.
• Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) for key operational functions and take ownership of our internal wiki for all general company operation topics (excluding Finance/HR).
• Support the COO in working closely with Project management, R&D, Product Engineering, Custom solutions, HR, Finance, IT, and our future Sales, Marketing, and customer service teams to ensure smooth coordination and alignment across all functions and that internal & projects remain on track.
• Manage the integration of new technologies, tools, and systems that improve productivity and support scaling efforts, including supporting the wider operations team with ERP integration.
• Take ownership of the organization of tradeshows and customer-facing events.
• Set up metrics to track operational efficiency, identify bottlenecks, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure the company's operations comply with all relevant local and international regulations, including environmental and safety standards.
• Assisting the C-Level functions in making external and internal presentations for a wide range of topics, customer presentations, company updates & board meeting slides.
Project Management:
- Oversee and manage critical cross-functional projects and initiatives.
- Ensure timely delivery of projects by coordinating resources and maintaining accountability.
- Track project performance, resolving roadblocks to achieve objectives.
Requirements:
• 5-10+ years of operational experience, ideally at a fast-growing scale-up startup. Prior experience at a deep tech startup is a major plus.
• Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s or MBA is a plus).
• Prior experience in high-growth environments, navigating complex challenges with a large number of internal & external stakeholders related to scaling, process automation, and system integration.
• Exceptional levels of organization
• Prior experience in managing technical facilities is a bonus
• Ability to produce high-quality slides communicating a wide range of technical and graphical information.
• Highly fluent in English & skilled in working with a highly diverse and international team
