We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Process Engineer with experience in Metal Additive Manufacturing or Metal Injection Molding to join our innovative team. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining our metal 3D printing equipment, ensuring the production of high-quality metal components. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metal additive manufacturing, with expertise in setting up, monitoring, and troubleshooting metal 3D printing processes.

About us:

Corintis is a provider of advanced semiconductor cooling technologies. Some of the biggest challenges of our lifetime, from climate modeling to drug discovery, require ever increasing computing resources. As more specialized and powerful chips are being deployed in data centers all over the world, the efficient cooling of these large computing clusters has become a major economic and environmental concern.

In fact, the electricity consumption devoted to data center cooling in the near future is estimated to match the combined consumption of London and New York. Moreover, next-generation chip designs are expected to be limited by current cooling technologies.

At Corintis, we address these challenges by integrating cooling directly inside the silicon chip. By doing so, we aim to enable the sustainable computing of the future and allow other innovators to work on the biggest global challenges. Today, we are working alongside some of the biggest names in the industry to enable the next generation of sustainable high-performance data centers.

Responsibilities:

- Set up and operate metal 3D printing machines to produce components according to specifications.

- Monitor printing processes to ensure quality and address any deviations or issues promptly.

- Conduct routine checks, SPC measurements and calibrations to maintain optimal machine performance.

2. Material Handling and Preparation:

- Handle and prepare metal powders for the printing process, ensuring proper storage and documentation. Qualify supplied powder to ensure the required quality.

- Perform material changeovers and powder recycling as needed. Develop and propose solutions for optimizing material usage and performance.

3. Process Optimization:

- Work closely with engineers to optimize printing parameters for various metal alloys.

- Conduct experiments and trials to improve print quality, speed, and efficiency.

- Propose solutions for the automatization of the manufacturing process and the quality inspection.

- Implement and document process improvements to enhance overall production capabilities.

4. Quality Assurance:

- Conduct post-processing activities, such as heat treatment and finishing, to meet quality standards.

- Perform inspections and tests on printed components to ensure compliance with specifications.

- Collaborate with quality control teams to address and rectify any non-conformities.

5. Maintenance and Troubleshooting:

- Plan and perform routine maintenance on 3D printing equipment to ensure reliability and longevity.

- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions or process issues in a timely manner.

- Collaborate with engineering teams to implement corrective and preventive measures.

6. Safety and Compliance:

- Thoroughly document safety protocols and check the adhesion to protocols to ensure a safe working environment.

- Stay informed about industry regulations and standards.

- Assist in maintaining compliance with relevant certifications.

7. Documentation and Reporting:

- Maintain detailed records of machine settings, process parameters, and production logs.

- Generate reports on machine performance, material usage, and quality metrics.

- Communicate findings and recommendations to the engineering team.
