Job Purpose
The Production Chemist will support the production team in efficiently executing critical manufacturing tasks to ensure high-quality, high-throughput and safe chemical manufacturing. While working within the laboratory the Production Chemist must be observant of safety standards and operating procedures.

We welcome applications from candidates with HNC/HND qualifications in Applied Sciences/Chemistry or relevant degrees who can demonstrate significant hands-on laboratory experience and a desire to work in a high-throughput manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Be a key member of the Production Team
- Setup of automated chemical reactions using our proprietary Curie, Lovelace and Arnold platforms
- Carry out automated and manual chemistry operations (e.g. filtrations, workups and evaporations)
- Maintaining laboratory housekeeping
- Take on growing responsibilities during the transformation of the company from an R&D stage organisation to an operational powerhouse
- Taking the initiative to suggest improvements to working practices
- Accurate and timely documentation of completed tasks using our own digital laboratory notebook
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum Higher (or equivalent) in English, mathematics and a science subject. HNC/HND or degree in relevant field preferred.
- The candidate should have previous work or study experience in a technical role within a laboratory environment, including the handling of chemicals
- Good numeracy, literacy and attention to detail
- Ability to follow defined procedures accurately
- Oral and written communication skills (English fluency)
Location
This role will be based at the company’s new manufacturing site at OakBank Industrial Estate, Garscube Road, Glasgow, G20 7LU.
Shift Pattern
This role will involve working one of several shifts (e.g. early, late, nightshift, weekend).
Number of Positions
We are looking to fill 5 positions with start dates between February and April 2026.
